LECTURES:
Week 1: This week's lecture is about information visualisation. The lecture explains the importance of data visualising and arrangement when designing visual content.
EXERCISES:
INDIVIDUAL TASK 1: Quantify and Visualise Data
For this task, we were told to find similar items from our home that has a significant amount so that they can be arranged in a way that visualises the items in a more organised way.
I used my pen collection for this task. The first image shows the pens in an unorganised way:

The image below is the final arrangement that shows the items in an interesting arrangement that is both visually pleasing as well as organised and labelled.
Here are the three arrangement stages of the pen collection:
INDIVIDUAL TASK 2: Flip 2 Redesign Bad Infographic
I searched on Canva for a template that could be used to show the above data in a much simpler way. I found the template below to be a very simple and easy to read diagram.

L.A.T.C.H:
For this exercise, we were instructed to design a poster that distributes information according to the L.A.T.C.H technique. For this poster, I did some idea sketches and research and decided to go with the different houses from the fictional world of The Game of Thrones by George .R.R Martin. The reason I chose this idea was to create a vintage map styled infographic that also has significant information such as the location, names, sigils or logos and the sayings of each of the houses.
I used a map of Game of thrones from mapdatabaseinfo.blogspot as a background image and the images for house sigils from gamerzone.co. Here are the images that I used to create the poster.
Here is the final poster:
