INSTRUCTIONS

PROJECT 2:

Week 1: Mr.Martin recommended us to watch videos by Zach King, who is a video magician. He makes very popular magic videos on his youtube channel along with how the videos are made.
Here is my favourite videos from Zach King:

1. Optical Illusions: On this video, Zach describes how he makes optical illusions in videos. He demonstrates some of the tricks he does on his video.

1. Rubiks cube explosion: This is a very simple trick but works very nicely when directed well. It's similar to a stop-motion video as the explotion bit of the video is splitted.

1. A Strange Morning: This one is another optical illusion but on a much higher level. The whole room that he is in, is slanted so that gravity seem to be working sideways in the video. It's a cool trick that requires some work.

Week 3: Plot segmentation for Zack king style Video

Magic ring makes a person disappear

Plot Segmentation:

At the opening of the video, I will be reading the Lord of the rings and find a magic ring inside the book. I observe the ring for a while and when I wear the ring, I will disappear.

Week 5: Story-board Draft

Week 6: Shooting
After getting the storyboard sorted out, I shot the video using a Sony A7 camera with a 50mm lens and a 28mm wide lens. I asked a friend to help me with the shooting because some of the shots needed assistance. The shooting process took longer than an hour to complete.

Figure 1.2: Shooting clips

After getting the clips shot, I imported them to Adobe Premier Pro for post production.
