LECTURE 7: Colour Theory
This week's lecture was about colour theory; the science and art of using colour. On this lecture, we were taught about the different types of colours and colour wheels as well as the different ways colour is used and why. Colour Harmony is said to be the arrangement of colours in design in the most attractive and effective ways for viewer's perception. Some of the ranges of colour include, monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic... etc.
Exercise:
Similar to previous week's exercise, this week we had to recolour black and white images into colour images however, this week's method is more advanced and detailed compared to previous week's. This week involved the use of Layer Masks in photoshop to manipulate layers.
Exercise 1 was a step-by-step followup of Mr.Martin's tutorial video on youtube.
Exercise 2 was completely self based.
Here are my work flow of both exercises:

REFLECTIONS:
Last week's recolouring was pretty easy and things I already knew, but this week's exercise taught me a lot about layer masking and doing detailed work easily in photoshop. I feel like this week's knowledge will help me a lot in getting better at my Photoshop use.
